Miley Cyrus: New Sound, New Video, New Attitude

Miley lives up to the title of her video "Can't Be Tamed," with a shredded jumpsuit, cleavage... the whole deal.

Teen pop sensation Miley Cyrus is evolving and becoming something of her own... actually it's more like a mix of Christina, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga.

Miley gives us all a taste of her new sound in her latest video "Can't Be Tamed."

She's got feathers flying everywhere and she's definitely working some top model looking cosmetics and costumes.

You can check out the video exclusively premiering on E! News at 7 and 11:30 p.m. tonight, May 4th.

Avatar Sequel In The Making!

Zoe Saldana, star of the huge hit movie Avatar, looked absolutely stunning in navy blue, (Na'vi blue perhaps?) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute Gala benefit.

E! Hollywood News asked her on the red carpet whether she was onboard with director James Cameron's sequel to Avatar.

She replied yes, enthusiastically. (I know, I'm excited too!)

Iron Man 2: More Action-Packed Than Before

OK, how many of you liked the movie Iron Man? Loved it even?

I know I LOVED it and nothing excites me more than the anticipation of Iron Man 2!

The awesome dude and Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr. rocked the red carpet and was joined by some of the film's cast, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mickey Rourke, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, and Don Cheadle. Director Jon Favreau was there with G4's Olivia Munn, who has a role in the film and is also the newest celeb on the cover of a PETA billboard.

I have been waiting to see this sequel pretty much since I heard about it and was obsessed with the first one.

May 7th cannot come fast enough!

M.I.A.'s Music Video Means Business

M.I.A. is known for being quite outspoken.

The Sri-Lankan-born singer stood up for what she believes in once again by proclaiming the rights of gingers everywhere. Her most commonly known song, Paper Planes, was made popular by the film Pineapple Express, and got her a lot of attention as an artist.

E! Hollywood News and Celebs Now reported that M.I.A., who's real name is Mathangi Arulpragasam, lashed out at her label, Universal Music Group, after her violent, genocide-themed music video "Born Free" was pulled from YouTube just hours after its release on Monday.

The artist tweeted angry posts blaming her music label for not allowing her to express her rights on YouTube.

It turned out the "Born Free" clip was yanked off by YouTube itself.

The violent and graphic clip portrays the U.S. as a fascist police state, focusing on a S.W.A.T. unit's raid of a downtown Los Angeles apartment complex. The cops in the video clip start rounding up redheaded men, bus them out to the desert and execute them in gruesome ways, all the while the lyrics repeat the chorus, "I was born free." (One example is that of a young boy who gets shot point-blank in the head... another man is literally blown apart by a bomb.)

M.I.A is not shy when it comes to speaking out about her views and is often under fire when it comes to her controversial outlook on issues.

I've seen the clip and it made me uncomfortable just because of its graphic nature and gory content. However, props to M.I.A. for doing something that makes us think.

It definitely got my attention.

Mean Girls: So NOT Fetch?

If you're like me, you love the movie Mean Girls and can quote most of the movie like it's no one's business.

Well guess what? (No, there is not going to be a sequel anytime soon) but the movie has been turned into a game and will be out this summer for the Nintendo DS.

The cover looks just like the movie's advertising…except someone's missing.

Where the heck is Lindsay Lohan?!

Our favorite mean girls, The Plastics, which include Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert are all there... just no little Miss Lohan.

Ouch! So what happened? Surprisingly, it has nothing to do with her real-life crazy adventures.

Instead, the game was licensed from Paramount and apparently using Lohan on the game cover would have been way too expensive... (So, in a sense she's worth more than the other actresses? I think she needs to be put in the Burn Book.)

Just like in the movie, the game has players follow the misadventures of Cady Heron from the winter talent show to the school prom all while facing jocks, art freaks and mathletes to become prom queen.

The game is due out on June 1.

Dear Lindsay Lohan,

"We're sorry we called you a crazy, sloppy biotch. It's not your fault you're a crazy, sloppy biotch." (Falls back into crowd of girls.)

Old Spice, Anyone?

The feisty diva host of the The Dish, Danielle Fishel (We know her as Topanga from Boy Meets World) totally makes all of us forget that Old Spice guy... (the funny one on that commercial, you know.) by having him on the show! Thought I'd share a quick little humorous parody she did with the guest star of the Old Spice commercial... Enjoy!

OMGG: Gossip Girl Gets Good...

Attention Gossip Girl fanatics. Raise your hand if you have been watching the show religiously. (My hand is definitely up.)

Sadly, Chuck and Blair have split up last episode, but there is happy news to tell!

Dorota's wedding of course! The Waldorfs' beloved help, played to perfection by Zuzanna Szadkowski, is getting hitched this Monday, and it's all the doing of one Chuck Bass. (I know right? I was shocked too.)

Szadkowski told E! Hollywood News (accent-free) that, "Dorota's a big champion of everything that makes Blair happy, and she's a huge fan of Chuck and Blair, so she holds that hope for them to reconcile some of the sad stuff that happened last episode.''

So Dorota's pregnant, tying the not, and this time around, Chuck will be the one to fight for Blair's love. Speaking of love, little Jenny Humphrey is trying her best to shake the golden couple Nate and Serena, of their passion. However, Dan and Vanessa don't seem to be doing too shabby in the avenue of passion.

Leighton Meester (who turned 24 today, Happy Birthday Queen B!) has a new single, "Your Love Is a Drug," which will play during the episode on Monday.

OMGG, we can't wait.

Weezy Writes Behind Bars

Even though Lil Wayne is in prison, it won't stop him from writing... blogs that is.

Pop News Now reported that the rapper, who on March 8 was checked into Rikers Island, has launched a weekly blog for his fans, complete with a countdown clock. The site is WeezyThanxYou.com.

He promises he's doing well and thinks of his kids often. He finds time to work out, read the Bible and he claims he's going to be blogging for ESPN soon as well.

How that will happen? We're not sure.

But where there's a Weezy, there's a way.

"Good Morning, Angels..." Goodbye, Charlie

For the longest time, we all wondered who Charlie was... the identity of the actor who acted as the voice of Charlie on Charlie's Angels was supposed to be a secret.

His name is John Forsythe. He was a rare star and acted in many movies, his most famous, on Charlie's Angels.

E Online reported the actor died Thursday of pneumonia amid a yearlong battle with cancer, his family said. He was 92.

Forsythe's career endured for more than 50 years including his breakout acting in Alfred Hitchcock's The Trouble with Harry.

E Online also reported that From 1976 to 1981, Forsythe phoned it in, in a good way, as Charlie Townsend, the no-profile, pool-lounging investigative agency owner on Charlie's Angels. The producer Aaron Spelling, asked his friend to handle the voice-only role in the pilot.

High School Musical Graduates... With All New Cast?

The mega hit High School Musical is back! (Those are probably words none of us wanted to hear... enough already of High School Musical!)

Well, it's a little different. Take out the high school and most of the stars and what do you end up with?

Main cast member Ashley Tisdale who played a theatre queen diva named Sharpay is about to take on the front role in a new sequel, Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure.

Did anyone see that coming?

Disney plans on milking every dime out of its megahit franchise and that's just what they're doing.

While Zac Efron and other key cast members try to "break free" of the Disney mold to more adult roles, Tisdale is aboard as executive producer as well. Shooting starts this summer for a 2011 premiere.

Sharpay will be making her way from East High to Broadway, where she meets her match in a rival starlet.

I don't know about you, but I hope "we're all in this together" when I say that this should be the last time we hear of High School Musical.

What's New With Disney's Latest Selena Gomez?

Disney star Selena Gomez is promoting her new clothing line in Paris!

And it's not just fans who are excited to get their hands on the new line... her ex boyfriends, Taylor Lautner and Nick Jonas, whom she's still friends with, are pretty pumped up for it too.

Seems like Disney produces nothing less than triple threats: actors, singers, AND clothes designers.

Selena Gomez can rest assured that she's up there with the many other Disney stars, adding the title of designer to her resume.

The Disney star has her own clothing line, which will retail in K-Mart in the States.

It doesn't stop there either. She's been a busy girl lately with the L.A. Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. Last week she was in Washington, D.C., for the unveiling of her wax figure.

Yes, you read correct. A wax figure.

Disney sure knows how to "mold" them.

Disney Duo: Demi Lovato & Joe Jonas

Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas have been getting a lot of attention lately... their little romance is out, of course it's going to be a huge thing!

"It's really crazy," Lovato, 17, told a source from E! Hollywood News at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. "I definitely did not expect this at all. But, you know, I'm going through it with my best friend so it's pretty awesome. I think it was just time to be open and not hide anything."

20-year-old Joe Jonas isn't just her boyfriend but he's also her best friend. (Aw.)

Their nickname? Jemi. Now that's adorable.

They might sing a song together in the future, but for now, Lovato says she just wants to focus on her hit Disney Channel show, "Sonny With A Chance."

There is definitely chemistry between the two and a wonderful friendship behind it that helps!

Jonas and Lovato's Camp Rock: The Final Jam should be something to watch for!

Cheers to the happy little couple.

Jake and Vienna Spotted Together... Finally!

Photo Courtesy of E! Online News

Thought after 'The Bachelor' ended there would be no more talk of Jake and Vienna? Wrong!

E-Online source spotted Jake Pavelka in L.A. recently with his honey, Vienna Girardi.

She made a lot of enemies on the show but won Jake's heart in the end... and sources say she's actually a lot cuter and sweeter in person than she appeared to be on TV.

Huh. Go Figure.

The new couple seemed to be settling in nicely in Hollywood, which is their temporary home while Jake shoots "Dancing With the Stars".

Best of luck to the happy couple!

Lady GaGa: Birthday Girl Bares All

OK so she's a fashion icon, a singer, a songwriter, an artist... I could go on. She's everywhere! On her 24th birthday, March 28th, the Fashion Monster Queen bared all! What is left to do anyway after wearing so many creative outfits... you almost have no choice but to pose nude!

Lady Gaga took to Twitter Sunday to celebrate her 24th birthday seemingly naked. She held a "communist-red teacup" that she said was the "perfect Birthday gift."

Gotta love that woman.

Jon Gosselin Gets Playtime

Jon Gosselin (Jon and Kate Plus 8) was probably laughing to himself after Kate Gosselin had a little meltdown on last night's "Dancing With the Stars".

Jon seems to have suddenly become "Mr. Perfect Dad" over the past couple of days and, of course, has been photographed to prove it.

He's been spotted all over Reading, Pa., dropping the kids off at school, grocery shopping and many more fun activities.

It remains debatable which Gosselin parent is the worst, but for now, it looks like Jon has got pretty good timing to pull this "act" off.

Just makes you wonder... what will they do next? And when will all of this drama end?!

Paula Abdul Lands As a Host On Star Search?

Paula Abdul is moving on to bigger things.

The former American Idol judge has been tapped to host another incarnation of Star Search for ABC, EW.com reports.

This is the first permanent gig that Abdul has been attached to since announcing last summer that she wouldn't be returning to Idol.

She's done some TV guest spots and hosted the VH1 Divas special, but otherwise she hasn't jumped at any of the invitations that have come her way, such as the empty chair So You Think You Can Dance judge (and former Idol producer) Nigel Lythgoe kept next to him last season.

So let's see where this ends up and if Paula Abdul can surpass the seemingly negative feedback from Idol.

Michael Jackson's Spirit Alive After Death

His life legacy put together, 'This Is It' was just the beginning.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Michael Jackson's estate is poised to sign a seven-year, $200 million contract with the late artist's longtime label, Sony Music Entertainment, in what would be the richest recording deal in history.

During his life, Michael was a huge star and even after his death, it seems he is still alive through the spirit of his music and all he has contributed to the music world.

The $200 million is guaranteed and the contract could end up being worth millions more depending on the performance of efforts of remastered various projects.

Things look promising. E! Hollywood reported that not only did 'This Is It' sell more than 5 million copies, but Jackson was the biggest-selling artist of 2009. People snatched up more than 31 million copies of his albums following his death in June, with two-thirds of sales occurring outside the U.S.

The Proposal's Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock: Another Movie Together?

After the movie 'The Proposal' stars Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds had the chemistry on the big screen.

It would be great to see them act together in another movie and they agree that it would be great too.

"We're talking about something, so hopefully it'll pan out," Reynolds told E! Hollywood News.

"But yeah, if we can find that right thing," he continued, "we're going to do it immediately."

Let's wait and see what happens! If a new film comes out of it, I know I'd see it!

Avatar: Going Green For Earth Day

Avatar's DVD release has been set for Earth Day.

On April 22nd, the 3-D extravaganza is unleashed on a more than willing audience. Unlike most DVDs, however, this will not include any bonus features.

Much has been made of the film as a broader metaphor of conservationism, as Earth Day draws nearer.

The film's DVD and Blu-ray release is bound to add to Avatar's worldwide take of more than $2.6 billion.

So the movie's not only promoting going green—it's making it!

Tiger Woods Is Back

Go get em' Tiger?

It turns out Tiger Woods' break from golf will be just about five months, as he announced this morning that he plans to hit the links in Augusta for the Masters Tournament in April.

He said he would like to turn to the game with respect after a much needed and necessary break from the game he loves. He said he had gone through almost two months of impatient therapy and is continuing his treatment. Even though he is returning to the competition, he has a lot of work to do in his personal life.

As far as things with his wife, Elin Nordegren, it remains to be seen if the two will be together and if she will be cheering him on.

One thing is for sure, there will be bigger ticket demands and higher TV ratings now that Tiger is back in the game.

Oprah To Stand Trial

What's happening with Oprah Winfrey? She is on the defensive.

E-Online reported that a federal judge in Philadelphia has set March 29 as the trial date in a $250,000 defamation suit filed against the talk-show host by the former headmistress of Winfrey's South Africa-based girls academy.

U.S. District Judge ruled against a motion by Team Oprah to dismiss a complaint brought about that children at the girls academy were being harmed. The judge ruled there was sufficient evidence of "capable defamatory meaning" within the allegations that the case should go before a jury.

E-Online also reported that Mazamane, 40, claims she was defamed by Winfrey at a 2007 press conference after news surfaced about a sex-abuse scandal at the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls near Johannesburg.

Winfrey's lawyers argued that her statements—Oprah said that she had "lost confidence" in Mazamane as the head of the school—represented an opinion, which is protected under the First Amendment. They noted that another Winfrey statement, that "any person that has caused harm to the students would not be returning" to the school, implied "[Mazamane] played some role in the 'harm' caused to the students."

After an investigation, a 27-year-old dorm matron, Virginia Mokgobo, was subsequently arrested by South African police and dismissed from her job.

Oprah is the most influential woman on the planet and it seems like she can get people to believe what she believes and sway people her way.

Oprah good or bad? You decide.

The Bachelor UPDATE: Jake Did WHAT?!

The popular reality TV show The Bachelor, had it's finale last night, with the most shocking ending ever. After going through so much drama, tears, anxiety and crossed-fingers for Tenley to be the winner, America watched as Jake slowly and tearfully broke the news that Tenley was NOT the girl for him. Chris Harrison, the host of the television show,(who also took on a vengeful Rozlyn at The Bachelor: The Women Tell All show) kept his lips sealed the entire time, knowing that Vienna would win Jake's heart in the end... and he wasn't the only one who knew the show's outcome! Vienna was the long-rumored winner and her lips remained sealed until last night.
"We couldn't tell anybody. I'm not a good actress at all, so it was difficult for me," the 23-year-old told E! Hollywood News.
So does this mean plans for a wedding in the near future? The two beamed at each other and discussed plans for going on "real dates" in public and not followed by cameras all the time.
So what ever happened to Ali? Surely she was a top-runner for Jake's heart as well, had her outside life not gotten in the way and forced her to choose between finding love or keeping her job. For those of you who were big fans of Ali, no worries. She has signed on to be the next Bachelorette. Hopefully work won't get in the way of Ali finding true love this time!
But is Jake truly happy with his final decision? Or is he having some second thoughts?
Jake told E! Hollywood News, "I'm not desperate to get married but I was desperate to find the right girl. And I have. I'm no longer the Bachelor."
Sounds happy for the most part!
As much as we hate to admit it, Jake is taken. And as much as we hate to admit it even more, the girl we all couldn't stand in the beginning, is the one who ended up with Jake. Way to go, V. Way to go.

Popularity Has Its Price: Gossip Girl Is Back

Lies. Lust. Jealousy. Drama. That's what the lives of spoiled rich Upper East Side New Yorkers revolves around.
That's Gossip Girl.
Returning for its third season, (Monday, March 8th at 9pm) Gossip Girl is a one-hour drama based on an exclusive group of privileged teens on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. No one knows Gossip Girl's true identity. The characters only know that whoever it is, is a force to be reckoned with. The attitude of this 'gossip girl' is that of a "watch your back, karma is real and whatever you do will eventually come back to haunt you." Everyone in this exclusive and complicated vicious circle relies on the Gossip Girl website and text messages for the latest scoop.
The series stars Blake Lively as Serena van der Woodsen, Leighton Meester as Blair Waldorf, Penn Badgley as Dan Humphrey, Chace Crawford as Nate Archibald, Taylor Momsen as Jenny Humphrey, Ed Westwick as Chuck Bass, Jessica Szohr as Vanessa Abrams, Kelly Rutherford as Lily van der Woodsen and Matthew Settle as Rufus Humphrey. It is filmed in New York and based on the popular series of young-adult novels by Cecily von Ziegesar.
The show is booming with-well, as it states in it's title, gossip. It's stamped as "the show that no parents want their teenagers to watch."
Yes, apparently it's THAT appalling.
The executive producers Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage, Bob Levy, Leslie Morgenstein, John Stephens and co-executive producer Joshua Safran were surprised when the show caught immediate attention as the first season carried on and eventually their target audience was begging to know what salacious drama would unfold next.
The second season was just as gripping.
I for one, find the show absolutely addicting. I can't stop watching it. It fascinates me how a cast of about 9 main characters can intertwine with one another over and over... Nate is dating Blair. No wait, He's into Serena. But she's with Dan? Oh, that's right, Dan is interested in Vanessa. But Vanessa likes Nate...Nate has moved on to Jenny. But he still likes Blair...she's dating Chuck now.
Get my point? It's just one big, tangled web of confusion and 'I-love-you's but not really.'
The show is so popular because we all love to watch other people's lives go up in smoke!
You can get more information about it at www.cwtv.com/shows/gossip-girl
At any rate, the show is kind of like my guilty pleasure. And I can't get enough of it.

"You know you love me... XOXO, Gossip Girl."

The Bachelor: It's All For The Love of Jake

Does The Bachelor want to find love or not?!
The series 'The Bachelor' revolves around a single man who chooses a potential wife from among 25 women. In past seasons, bachelors have included a doctor, a prince, an NFL player, a millionaire, and this season, a pilot. (A very attractive one, at that.) The show follows the bachelor as he goes on a series of dates with the women, some of them group dates, some one-on-one dates, and some of them two-on-one dates. On each episode women are eliminated, generally during the rose ceremony at the end of the episode. At the end of the show, the bachelor chooses one woman with whom he would like to continue a relationship. Sometimes he proposes marriage, sometimes other levels of commitment.
This season's bachelor is 30-year-old Jake Pavelka. He ditched Kathryn Sherlock and Ella Nolan on their group date, then gave the boot to Ashleigh Hunt and Jessie Sulidis during Monday night's rose ceremony. I'm sure fans of Jake Pavelka were left confused and pondered this Bachelor's romantic intentions.
But according to the wingman (and host) Chris Harrison, Jake just knows what he wants—even if that means bringing back some of the women for a second shot at love.
Wait. So does this means he is bringing one of the women back to the show?
I guess this goes to show that Jake is in control and isn't messing around here. If he doesn't see a future in a relationship, he's not going to drag it out and let the women stay there when he isn't interested and doesn't want to waste a perfectly good rose on them.
Although, apparently in The Bachelor world, it takes a woman leaving, then coming back, to see if that future really exists.
Who could possibly return to the show after all of the drama that happened?
We had Michelle. She was nuts. The girl was simply on the show to make the bachelor fall in love with her and marry her. She wanted kids. Jake was looking for love, Michelle just wanted to be the winner in the end and fly off into the sunset with her pilot. Not happening!
Then we had good old Rozlyn, the tall, blonde supermodel. She was totally devoted to Jake... and another guy too. He was a staffer who worked on the show, but was fired due to an inappropriate relationship he entered into with Rozlyn. Instead of receiving a rose that night, she received an hour to pack her stuff and was asked to leave the show. Side note to Rozlyn: when you are on a show called The Bachelor, try not to "extend" yourself to other men, especially ones who work on the production team.
Last but not least, there's Vienna. All of the women hate her and say nasty things about her. However, she eggs it on. I'm pretty sure everyone wants her off the show. The 23-year-old is a little too forward with Jake, which completely puts him off. Yet at each rose ceremony, she keeps getting a darn rose.
Got to love reality television, right?

Keeping Up with the Kardashians...Let's Not.

When all anyone can write about or put on the front of their magazine cover is something about the Kardashians, you know that the entertainment business is not doing so hot. There comes a time when we, the young pop-crazed powerful generation, do NOT want to hear about what the Kardashians are doing. Please, media, give it a rest. It's boring now. I would like to hear more about other talents starting out. Something refreshing. The point of this particular blog is just to say-well, no-to BEG everyone writing about the Kardashians to stop and think of something else we would like to hear about. Mix things up a bit. If for some reason you do not know, Keeping Up with the Kardashians is a reality television series airing on E!. The show debuted on October 14, 2007. The series is all about the lives of the Kardashian/Jenner family, the former of which consists of the ex-wife and children of late attorney Robert Kardashian. There's Khloé, Kim, and Kourtney and a boatload more. I for one cannot keep up. Actually, I probably could...I am just choosing not to.

We're All Going Gaga For GaGa

You either love her or you... well, we pretty much all LOVE her. (OK, some people aren't the biggest fans, and that's fine. To each his/her own!) However, she hit us with the songs that got stuck in our head for weeks, regardless if you wanted to be humming it nonstop! "Just Dance", "Love Games", "Poker Face", "Paparazzi", and "Bad Romance," to name a few chart toppers.
Lady Gaga was born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta on March 28, 1986. She began performing in the rock music scene of New York City's Lower East Side.
Her debut album, The Fame, was released in August, 2008. In addition to receiving generally positive reviews, it went number-one in four countries, and topped the Billboard Top Electronic Albums chart in the United States. It earned a total of six Grammy Award nominations, including Best Electronic/Dance Album and Album of the Year. By the end of 2009, she released her second studio album The Fame Monster and began The Monster Ball Tour.
She's got crazy fashion, inspired by art and beauty, and never fails to give a great performance. To date, she has sold over eight million albums and 35 million singles digitally worldwide. Got to admit, she has put in hard work and started with nothing, she lowered her concert tickets as well as CD price, connects with her fans (she said she felt like a freak in high school,) and all of the proceeds from her concert will go to help those in Haiti. Go GaGa! Keep up the good work, the awesome fashion and the hot beats. We're obsessed.
